saturday, august 28th - hop jam east - arlington, ma

hop jam! this time not in hopkinton. in 2019 we did a very small scale cape jam but otherwise, we hadn't had a hop jam in 9 years (2012), yikes! with covid and all we didn't end up inviting the massive amounts of folks we've invited in the past, just kind of the core crew. so good to get us all back together. you could clearly tell that everybody missed our annual gathering. it reminded us of the kendall cafe days with the people that were there. most of the folks had played with us there way back in the past. we had goh, damien shiner, shiner jones, charlie and steve, mercy james, sand machine, alex cook, steven hagenbuch and the hagenbuch family jamboree. apparently we need to keep this up every year still. see you next year!

friday, april 30th - arlington, ma

our first post vax prax. we kicked it off with some whiskey and reviewed all the songs for our compilation with friends album. then we just played. goh songs and covers, some of which were from the old days and some of which we never played before. since it's been so long, we know some of the rarely played ones just as well as the ones we used to play all the time. eventually we'll have to refresh our memories to play them all, especially the new ones which we still haven't completely committed to memory. it is really fun just to play!

thursday, april 1st - arlington, ma

our friend, jason, has a song swap that's been going on over the pandemic. the night has a theme and each person on the zoom calls picks a song to reflect the theme. this week's one was duos, so we figured we had to play. we set up in chris' garage and played a song as part of the swap. so much fun. at the end, we closed it out by playing a few more of them.
