friday, september 2nd - harvard square - cambridge, ma

after a VERY long time, we made it back to harvard squaure. we did things a little differently than the last time we were here. last time, we brought full drums, a boat battery, PA, mics and mixer. This time, we went really unplugged. we biked there. so no amplifications and no drums. chris brought a box, tamboreen and shaker to bang on. we didn't get the best spot to play but we made due. it was good just to play in public again. for sure, we missed the PA but we hung in there. we met vince who was kind enough to take a few pix and a video of us playing. he was in the square for a first date. after we wished him luck, we wrapped it up and got dinner. good to get back out there.

saturday, aug 6th - hop jam east - arlington, ma

another hop jam east! the hop jam tradition continues (now 2 years in a row) once again. it's really amazing how it can somehow have the hop jam vibe still. we had damien and the displayers, the hagenbuch family jamboree, mercy james, charlie and steve (the butchers?), and sand machine all there. as it was smaller than some of our peak years, it meant we had better conversations with folks who were there. i think everyone is happy we can have this type of thing post pandemic. great to hang with family and friends.
